You might be wondering, how did all the fantastic prizes for Pumpfest and Adventure Trail Challenge come about? Or even the goodies found in the NTU ODAC events’ goodie bags? Yes, all these are possible due to the hard work and effort put in by the Business Manager Committee (referred to as the “Biz Mags” in short)!

Our main job scope is to source for sponsorships of any kind for our 3 main events, Pumpfest, ATC and FOOT. Being a Biz Mag allows us to know more of the outside world! We get to work, interact and negotiate with sponsors for prizes, goodie bag items, T-shirt printing, photo-printing and so on. It may sound formal and boring but it is actually otherwise. Through working closely with our sponsors, we have had the chance to make friends with some of them, dispelling the fact that the corporate world is a cold and dangerous one. Also, being a Biz Mag allows us to have the best of both worlds; as not only do you get to interact and work with the working force, you also get to enjoy all of NTU ODAC events!

Do NOT have the misconception that Biz Mags only slog and work in NTU ODAC! We also have a lot of fun in our closely knitted team! We had our sub-comm trip to Jerangkang Waterfall at the beginning of our work year, several ODAC trips together and also headed to Kukup, a peaceful kelong in Malaysia, during the December holidays for fireworks and seafood feast to celebrate Christmas. We also went for our night cycling where we cycle from the east to central Singapore looking for good food together!
